As part of a series of talks planned for 2014, Irish Language Officers Micí Walsh and Ursula Mhic an tSaoir spoke to AS and Irish Medium students on Friday 14th February 2014.
Micí and Ursula informed our pupils about the Irish Language services available within the Newry & Mourne Council area. While many councils are starting to fulfill their commitments as part of the European Charter on Minority Languages, Newry has been the shining light for the past 25 years. With three full-time Irish Language officers, Newry & Mourne can provide a vast range of information and resources.
Dominic Sadler from Pobal.org will be next to speak to our students on Friday 28th February.
